Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious 8-K Telehandler Operator to join our dynamic team. This full-time position requires a skilled professional who demonstrates exceptional proficiency in operating telehandler equipment with specialized expertise in loading and unloading steel materials. The ideal candidate will have between 2 to 10 years of hands-on experience operating telehandlers in industrial construction or manufacturing environments.
As an 8-K Telehandler Operator you will play a critical role in our daily operations ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. This position demands precision attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards while working with heavy steel materials and operating sophisticated lifting equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
Telehandler Operation
- Operate 8000-pound capacity telehandler equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company safety protocols
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections of telehandler equipment checking hydraulic systems tires forks boom extension mechanisms and all safety features
- Maneuver telehandler in confined spaces around obstacles and in various weather conditions while maintaining complete control of loads
- Utilize telescopic boom capabilities to reach elevated positions and extended distances with precision and accuracy
- Maintain proper load balance and weight distribution throughout all lifting and transport operations
- Document equipment hours fuel consumption
