About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Research Consultant / Business Process Mapping Specialist to lead and support a comprehensive initiative to document and analyze court datarelated business processes within judicial or other complex casemanagement environments. This role focuses on understanding how operational practices impact data quality consistency reporting and translating those findings into clear actionable process maps and documentation.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills experience working with courts or large public-sector systems and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders ranging from clerks administrators judges researchers and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mapping of datarelated business processes across multijurisdictional or enterprise case management environments
• Analyze how case data is captured updated and flows across the full lifecycle (e.g. initiation status changes dispositions reporting)
• Design and facilitate stakeholder engagement activities including interviews focus groups surveys and facilitated discussions
• Review and synthesize existing documentation such as manuals reference guides policies and process descriptions
• Develop clear presentationready process maps swimlane diagrams and data flow visualizations
• Identify variations gaps and opportunities that impact data quality consistency governance and decisionmaking
• Document findings in structured inventories and reports suitable for executive technical and operational audiences
• Collaborate closely with a Project Manager and client stakeholders to validate findings and refine deliverables
• Communicate complex operational and data concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience performing business process mapping in judicial systems or other complex casemanagement environments
• Demonstrated experience analyzing datarelated workflows information handoffs and operational practices
• Strong background in qualitative research methods including interviews focus groups and surveys
• Proven ability to translate operational practices into structured documentation and visual process models
• Experience working with public-sector court or highly regulated environments
• Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience working with court operations clerks offices judicial workflows or justice information systems
• Knowledge of data governance data quality and reporting standards
• Familiarity with enterprise or statewide systems supporting case management
• Experience conducting statewide or multisite assessments
• Skilled at engaging diverse stakeholders and supporting changemanagement efforts
• Proficiency with process mapping tools and documentation platforms
