Business Solution Analyst (Technical BA) Retail Lending

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Business Solution Analyst (Technical BA) to join our team and work with a premier Canadian client in the financial services sector. This role is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation in the retail lending space with a specific focus on mortgages real estate secured loans/lines of credit and unsecured loans/lines of credit.
You will act as the crucial bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams translating complex business needs into robust technical solutions. A key aspect of this role will be leveraging cutting-edge AI-augmented practices to enhance business analysis and drive innovation.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Requirement Elicitation & Analysis: Lead workshops and interviews to elicit analyze and document business requirements for retail lending products and systems.
. Technical Translation: Translate business requirements into clear and concise technical specifications user stories and functional design documents.
. Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between business units development teams quality assurance and project management to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
. Process Modeling: Analyze and model current-state business processes and design optimized future-state workflows within the lending domain.
. Solution Design & Validation: Collaborate with solution architects and development leads to design effective and scalable technical solutions and participate in the validation and testing phases.
. Domain Expertise: Apply deep subject matter expertise in Canadian retail lending including mortgages HELOCs and unsecured credit to all aspects of the analysis and design process.
Focus on AI-Augmented Business Analysis:

. AI-Powered Requirement Analysis: Utilize AI-powered tools to analyze requirement documents for clarity completeness and consistency and to identify potential gaps or conflicts.
. Process & Data Mining: Leverage AI and machine learning for process mining to uncover inefficiencies and opportunities for automation within the lending lifecycle.
. Predictive Insights: Use AI-driven data analysis to identify trends predict customer behavior and provide data-backed insights to inform business strategy in the lending portfolio.
. Augmenting User Stories: Employ AI assistants to help draft and refine user stories acceptance criteria and test cases increasing efficiency and quality.
. Innovation Champion: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI for business analysis and champion the adoption of new tools and methodologies within the team.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Must have:
. Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst Business Systems Analyst or a similar role within the financial services industry.
. Mandatory deep domain knowledge of the Canadian retail lending landscape including origination servicing and adjudication of: Mortgages Real Estate Secured Loans and Lines of Credit (e.g. HELOCs) Unsecured Personal Loans and Lines of Credit
. Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
. Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
. Exceptional communication presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
. Bachelors degree in Business Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
. Demonstrated interest or experience in applying AI/ML concepts to business analysis or financial services.
. Experience with JIRA Confluence and other project management tools.
. Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. SQL Power BI Tableau).
. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification is a plus.
*CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80000$130000. This role is an existing vacancy.
