Job Summary

Financial Reporting: Support the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Red Bull Controlling Standard IFRS and US GAAP standards.

General Ledger Oversight: Assist in overseeing daily accounting operations including journal entries account reconciliations and sub-ledger maintenance.

Budgeting and Forecasting Tracking: Assist in the monitoring of annual budgets and recurring forecasts providing variance analysis and strategic recommendations to support the work of the Clubs Financial Planning & Analysis Team.

Support the management of Budget Reporting compilation and as needed participate in the upload of Headcount (via Anaplan) Balance Sheet and Cash Flows data and its associated preparation and submission (incl. ongoing Liquidity Forecasts).

Assist in the production on on-going Revised Estimates exercises as well as the compilation preparation and submission to Austria.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with Red Bull Controlling Guidelines as well as federal and state tax requirements and other relevant laws.

Internal Controls: Ensure effective internal controls are maintained to safeguard the clubs assets in line with Red Bull Group policies and support ongoing overall process compliance and accountability.

Enforce Parent and local Internal Control procedures rules and regulations.

Audit Coordination: Support the Vice President Finance in managing the annual external audit with E&Y including preparation of workpapers and timely responses to auditor inquiries.

Payroll and Benefits: Oversee payroll review processes and employee benefit accounting in collaboration with Human Resources and payroll department.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Support the review of weekly AP and AR processes and controls in coordination with staff in Santa Monica and ensuring prompt and accurate processing of payments and receipts including all internal Vendor Processing guidelines.

Cash Management: Support the Vice President Finance in the monitoring of cash flow needs and assist in weekly payments run proposals and required checks in line with internal Red Bull policies.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and implement best practices in financial processes and systems.

Responsible for supporting the preparation and production of Month-end Close and Year-end Close procedures.

Support Balance Sheet Management and reporting.

Support the Monthly financial reporting.

Audit Tax Regulatory Compliance including Income tax filings.

Support Management of federal state and city payroll taxes.

Support compliance and management of property taxes and other tax payments are made timely and accurately.

Ongoing identification of Risks and Opportunities in departmental budgets and forecasts.

Track actual results related to material transactions.

Assist the Team in the League Reporting process for Annual Budgets and Sources & Uses.

Assist as needed in the preparation and management of settlement accounting of all events held at Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Responsible for supporting the completion of recurring League Game Statements and Monthly Settlement Process.

Specific Job Requirements

Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Passion for sports and familiarity with Major League Soccer business operations a plus.

Prior experience working with ticketing systems client relationship management systems and databases is desirable.


Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.

Minimum of 4 years experience in accounting or finance preferably in a sports entertainment or related industry.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls; experience with multi-entity organizations a plus.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP BI Hyperion SmartView or similar) as well as Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

Experience with payroll processing and benefits accounting preferred.


Additional Information :

Because of the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry your assigned hours may vary to reflect our needs (includes nights and weekends).

The base salary for this position is $140000. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified.
