Job Summary
Summary:Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of environmental health and safety programs within an organization including developing and implementing policies procedures and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations preventing workplace accidents protecting employee health and mitigating environmental impact.

Essential Functions:
-Ensure compliance with all applicable federal state and local environmental health and safety regulations.
-Develop and implement comprehensive environmental health and safety programs policies and procedures.
-Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify workplace hazards related to environmental health and safety.
-Analyze work processes equipment and facilities to identify potential risks and develop effective control measures.
-Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on policies procedures and safe work practices.
-Establish and oversee incident management protocols including reporting investigation and corrective action processes.
-Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective emergency communication evacuation procedures and response to hazardous incidents.
-Develop and implement environmental management programs to minimize the organizations environmental impact.
-Track and report key performance indicators such as incident rates compliance status training completion and corrective actions.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors Degree Environmental Health required or Bachelors Degree Related Field of Study required or Masters Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Experience
Environmental Health/Safety Experience 3-5 years required and Supervisory/Management Experience 2-3 years preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal state and local environmental health and safety regulations.
- Proven leadership in environmental health and safety management or a related field and the ability to lead staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively train and educate employees on environmental health and safety topics.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
