JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for a part-time research assistant to start May 2026. The successful candidate will assist Dr. Qian Chen for up to 10 hours per week for 8 weeks.
Job Duties:
- Assist with data preparation and cleaningby organizing research data evaluation records and related project materials; and by cleaning formatting and maintaining datasets for analysis.
- Support coding and data analysisby documenting coding results accurately tracking key evaluation dimensions such as novelty clarity feasibility and overall quality and helping identify patterns in both structured and unstructured data.
- Conduct literature reviews and support report writingrelated to human-AI collaboration evaluation methods and experimental design including drafting literature review sections and assisting with manuscript development.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work carefully with both structured and unstructured data.
- Excellent writing reading and organizational skills with the ability to summarize academic literature clearly and accurately.
- Interest in research related to AI human-AI collaboration or experimental design; prior coursework or experience in statistics data analysis or related fields is preferred.
Compensation:
Starting rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.
