Northern Staffing Services of Petoskey has partnered with a local resort and is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This role is essential in managing the companys accounts payable processes ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors maintaining compliance with financial regulations and supporting overall financial integrity. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills familiarity with various financial software systems and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. Duties

• Process and verify vendor invoices using accounting software.
• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable functions including data entry invoice approval workflows and payment processing via checks ACH transfers or wire transfers.
• Reconcile accounts payable ledger regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate vendor records including contact information payment terms and tax documentation.
• Collaborate with finance team to ensure seamless processing of payments and benefits administration.
• Prepare reports on outstanding payables aging analysis and cash flow projections for management review.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles.
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency).
• Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently.
• Strong analysis skills for reviewing financial data and identifying discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and supporting vendor relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
