Junior SDET

The Junior SDET will support test automation development execution and maintenance activities under the guidance of the Lead SDET. The role will focus on building and executing automated test scripts validating application functionality and supporting test reporting and defect analysis.

This role is located at a client site in either Knoxville TN Lafayette LA or Columbia SC. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

The Junior SDET will support test automation development execution and maintenance activities under the guidance of the Lead SDET. The role will focus on building and executing automated test scripts validating application functionality and supporting test reporting and defect analysis.

. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Selenium
. Execute automated and manual test cases for functional and regression testing
. Assist in migration of existing Selenium scripts to Playwright (TypeScript)
. Use GitHub Copilot to accelerate script development and maintenance
. Perform basic log analysis using tools such as Splunk and AWS Log Insights
. Support test data preparation and environment validation
. Execute test suites and report defects with proper documentation
. Collaborate with developers and QA team members to resolve issues
. Contribute to continuous improvement of automation coverage

. 2 years of relevant experience
. Working knowledge of Playwright or Selenium
. Basic programming skills (JavaScript/TypeScript Java or Python)
. Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or similar tools (preferred exposure)
. Understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC
. Basic knowledge of log analysis tools (Splunk AWS logs)

Desired Skillset:
Exposure to API testingFamiliarity with CI/CD toolsBasic understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $57100.00 - $95800.00.
