2026-2027 Substitute Support Staff Durango School District

Looking for a flexible schedule Durango School District isrecruiting support staff substitutes to work with our amazing students and staff!

Pay rates for these various assignments range from $18.50 to $22.00 per hour.

Substitues working in this capacity may choose to substitute as classroom aides clerical supportadministrative assistants media aides bus monitors bus drivers cooks.

We are recruitingcandidates who are willing to work a flexible schedule at locations and in positions that vary daily. Our support staff substitutes work during the school year in a variety of roles to assist the successful operations of our schools. At times there may be classroom aide work available in the summer supporting our students in our Extended School Year program.

Upon accepting a support staff substitute position you must also agree to be fingerprinted to meet employment requirements.

Requirements include:

• A high school diploma or GED.

• Experience working with children.

• Experience in a classroom or office setting.

• Strong interpersonal communication basic language basic math and basicwriting skills.

• A minimum of two professional references.(We do not accept family or friends as references.)

Candidates must also have strong computer skills. Substitutes are required to navigate through an electronic system independently to accept and decline assignments; maintain their schedules; and view assignment instructions.
