Position Overview
St. Barnabas Catholic School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th/6th grade teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing engaging classroom environment that supports academic excellence faith formation and the development of the whole child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned to curriculum standards
• Foster a positive structured classroom environment rooted in respect and high expectations
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Use data to inform instruction and support student growth
• Integrate Catholic values and faith into daily instruction and classroom culture
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and classroom updates
• Collaborate with colleagues through PLCs and team planning

Participate in school events faith formation activities and professional development

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education or related field
• Valid Indiana teaching license (or ability to obtain)
• Commitment to Catholic education and values
• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to build positive relationships with students families and staff
