Job Summary
Accountant I
Performs a variety of administrative clerical and technical accounting duties in maintaining the fiscal records and financial systems of the County. This position will be a back-up for the Accounts Receivable Accountant and Accounts Payable Accountant.
Accountant II
Performs accounting functions and provides financial support to the County including reporting audits grants administration annual budgeting reconciliations and other special financial reporting and projects. Correspond with County Department Heads and their delegates to support their financial needs and questions.
Pay Rate
Accountant I
Starting hourly range is from $28.53 to $32.49 depending on experience plus full benefits.
Accountant II
Starting hourly range is from $32.06 to $36.50 depending on experience plus full benefits.
*The County pays monthly on the last week day of the month.*

- Must complete ICS 100 and ICS 700 within the first year of employment.

Qualifications/Education
Accountant I
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting. Degrees in finance business or public administration with an emphasis in accounting or a closely related field may be considered and
- One (1) year of progressively responsible accounting or finance work or
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Accountant II
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting. Degrees in finance business or public administration with an emphasis in accounting or a closely related field may be considered and
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible accounting or finance work or
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
