Quality Manager
Location: Aiken SC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
An industry-leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality assurance initiatives at its Aiken SC this role you will work closely with manufacturing engineering supply chain and sales teams to ensure products meet customer requirements internal specifications and industry standards. You will play a key role in advancing the sites quality culture transitioning from traditional quality control practices to a proactive quality assurance approach while driving continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a site-wide quality strategy aligned with business objectives.
Lead and mentor the quality team while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Partner with manufacturing engineering and supply chain teams to integrate quality into daily operations.
Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
Drive structured problem-solving using Kaizen 8D and root cause corrective action methodologies.
Establish inspection and testing requirements including test plans and quality verification processes.
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
Track and report key quality metrics such as scrap rework first-pass yield inspection costs and supplier/customer PPM.
Develop and deploy layered audit processes focused on process alignment and error-proofing.
Represent the site during customer and regulatory quality system reviews.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with quality leadership responsibilities.
Strong leadership communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience with structured problem-solving data analysis and quality tools such as Minitab and Microsoft Office.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred:
5 years of quality leadership experience in manufacturing.
Experience with machining and assembly processes including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability (Cp/Cpk).
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt or Lean certification.
Certified Lead Internal Auditor credential.

Compensation
Target Salary Range: $120000 $140000 annually
