Accounting Associate

We are seeking an Accounting Associate to join Talos fast-growing tech-focused Financial Operations team. This is a hands-on role supporting core accounting processes financial reporting and day-to-day operations. The position is well-suited to someone looking to build and deepen their accounting expertise while contributing to a dynamic digital assets and financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly quarterly and year-end close processes

• Prepare balance sheet and P&L reconciliations

• Prepare and record journal entries

• Record invoices and support the order-to-pay cycle

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with US GAAP

• Support treasury activities as needed

• Assist in preparing audit support and responding to auditor requests

• Support system implementations and upgrades including accounting and finance ERPs

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (or higher) in Accounting Finance or related field

• 13 years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting/PCAOB experience preferred

• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred

• Experience supporting financial reporting and close cycles preferred

• Experience in SaaS software or financial services environments preferred

• Familiarity with IFRS COSO and SOX frameworks preferred

• Strong attention to detail with a hands-on proactive approach

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel

• Experience with accounting/finance ERP systems preferred
