The National Events Manager (12-month contract)is responsible for leading the strategy planning and execution of the industrys highest quality consumer trade and media events with the goal of driving sales creating positive brand awareness and affinity with all key audiences (customers consumers media etc.) and building Mark Anthonys profile as Canadas premier alcohol beverage company..
What youll do:
- Prepare and present detailed proposals for event participation to Sales Brand Trade and Partnership teams including determining event budgets and execution plans
- Maintain the annual event calendar and communicate updates internally and externally to all stakeholders
- Develop and execute robust event plans to ensure all events are delivered on time on budget and to the highest professional standards
- Negotiate vendor contracts and manage all event logistics including décor catering entertainment transportation staffing invitations audio-visual and insurance
- Develop and distribute event collateral such as booklets order forms branded promotional materials wine cards menus and POS materials
- Assess event performance and prepare postâevent reports evaluating ROI key wins key losses and opportunities for improvement
- Stay informed of inâtrade activities including pricing programming and routeâtoâmarket priorities and align event plans accordingly
What you have:
- 5 years of event management experience preferably in a corporate inâhouse or agency environment
- Strong organizational time management and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fastâpaced environment
- Proven experience collaborating with multiple crossâfunctional stakeholders
- Experience creating basic event collateral such as invitations and signage
- A creative experiential event mindset with strong awareness of trends in events and activations
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Outlook Excel PowerPoint Word) and creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Prior experience in a leadership capacity is considered an asset
- Highly organized detailâoriented and process driven with strong communication skills

The base pay is determined by market location and job-related knowledge skills experience and education.
