Job Summary
Position Summary
Suffolk Transportation is seeking an IT Specialist responsible for cybersecurity network and
fiber infrastructure and hands-on end-user support across office and operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity & Systems Protection
Monitor and maintain endpoint protection firewalls MFA and email security.
Respond to security incidents alerts and potential threats.
Manage patching vulnerability remediation and access controls.
Network & Fiber Infrastructure
Support fiber structured cabling switches routers and firewalls.
Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues.
Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for installs and repairs.
End-User Support
Provide desktop laptop printer and application support.
Support Windows OS Microsoft 365 email and VoIP phones.
Onboard and offboard users including training and access provisioning.
Required Qualifications:
3 years of IT support experience.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS Microsoft 365 and networking fundamentals.
Experience in fiber or structured cabling environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cybersecurity experience and CompTIA certifications (A Network Security).
Experience with firewalls VPNs and PowerShell scripting.
Salary Range:
$75000.00 - $105000.00
