About the role:

The Shop Technician I primarilyworksin the shop making repairs tooilfieldequipment asrequired.

Additional Information:

• Relocation or sponsorship assistance is NOT available for this position.
• Starting Pay: $19.85 additional based on experience
• Schedule: Monday Friday 6:00 AM 4:00 PM 24/7 on call currently working every other Saturdays
• Overtime based on business need
  

What you will do:

• Provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service

• Effectivelydemonstratethe core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times

• Assemble and break down clean new or used equipment inspect repair and test grease and paint equipment

• Readand follow standard operating procedures

• Execute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of the shop work area and equipment

• Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities

• Be responsible forthe safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries near misses equipment damage and unsafe acts to supervisor or senior technician as soon aspracticable

• Troubleshoot repair reassemble and test equipment based on customer communications

• Maintain SPM Oil & Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment including site specific equipment as it relates to company policy

• Maintain a professional appearance andwork attitude at all times

• Demonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting

• Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance

• Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times

• Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times

• Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change

• Performs other duties as assigned
  

What you will have:

• Demonstrate consistency accountability reliability and solid work ethic

• Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment

• Previousexperience with hand tools powertoolsand air tools
  

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

• Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depthperceptionand ability to adjust focus

• Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
  

Work Environment:

• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions

• Occasionally exposed to high precarious places and vibration

• Noise Level: Moderate
