JMT Consultants is a North American-based global leader specializing in steel and concrete design solutions. Services include pre-construction modeling structural design support steel and concrete detailing connection and stair engineering panel book detailing estimate modeling and BIM management.We are looking for a Structural Engineer with excellent mathematical IT and analytical skills is detail-oriented creative and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.

To ensure success the candidate must be accurate commercially aware and have excellent communication skills with a keen interest in ensuring the safety and physical integrity of buildings and other large structures. Top candidates will have tremendous project and budget management skills with excellent knowledge of construction processes materials and legal regulations.

What youll do:

• Design analyze and review structural components and systems for various projects
• Will work on CISC & AISC projects. AISC projects will be led by our US company
• Collaborate with architects engineers and construction professionals to develop innovative solutions
• Prepare detailed drawings specifications and reports
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes regulations and industry standards
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to the decision-making process

• Excellent communication skills are required both verbal and written
• Software skills with any of the following are a plus: Tekla Structural Designer Excel Idea Statica Bluebeam RISA Suite Revit and Ram Connection
• Attention to detail logical problem-solving skills and strong organizational skills
• Passion for steel and concrete design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel and concrete construction

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering
• Masters degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus
• PE (.) certification
• 4 years of structural engineering experience
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Must be able to travel to the USA
