We are seeking an experiencedSupport Systems & Tools (SS&T) Architecture and Design Lead to support operations within the Test and Development Facility (TDF) for the NISSC III program. In this role you will work with mission-critical systems essential to homeland defense and national security priorities. This is a full-time on-site position ideal for a technical leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about engineering excellence system reliability and highstandards execution.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the single point of contact for all SS&T activities within the Test and Development Facility (TDF)

  • Troubleshoot diagnose and restore operational degradations within the TDF environment

  • Act as the primary authority for scheduling and deconflicting test events within the TDF

  • Analyze develop and maintain NISSC III sustainment-covered requirements in collaboration with the Government Program Office

  • Maintain requirements documentation and metadata including traceability within a Digital Engineering environment

  • Conduct root cause analysis impact assessments and propose corrective or mitigating actions to resolve technical issues within the TDF

  • Perform Technical Baseline Integrity tasks to identify evaluate prioritize and mitigate risks to NISSC III system sustainment

  • Review validate and release configuration itemsincluding documents and drawingswhile identifying gaps or misrepresentations

  • Verify conformance to specifications drawings and interface control documents in alignment with configuration management standards

  • Audit system modifications installations hardware software and networks against baseline artifacts

  • Support Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs); ensure timely submission of required reports

  • Assist in documenting and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures

  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and applicable government standards including:

    • Correct markings

    • Security labels

    • Distribution statements

  • Perform additional tasks as required to support program success

Required Qualifications:

  • BachelorsDegree ina related field with 12 years of relevant experience; Additional experience training and/or certifications may substitute degree requirement.

  • US Citizen; Currently possessing an Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI upon hire.

  • Strong desire to grow and learn emerging technologies in the missile early warning domain

  • Demonstrated experience writing and editing government documentation

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated creativity technical initiative and resourcefulness

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office SharePoint and other document management engineering and collaboration tools

  • Ability to lead and mentor junior software and systems engineers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in related field with 10 years of experience

  • Active DoDTS/SCIclearance

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate and advocate discipline-related knowledge services and programs

  • Proven experience managing and delivering projects on time and within budget with strong knowledge of Agile Scrum and Waterfall methodologies

  • Deep understanding of software development engineering and networking concepts

  • Significant experience working in a TDF environment and supporting elements

  • Experience working in a Digital Engineering environment; familiarity with NoMagic CAMEO is a plus

  • Experience with NISSC or other Air Force programs

Pay Range:

Pay Range $131300.00 - $237350.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
