Job Summary
Camp Cove part of the Ocean Community YMCA- Naik Family Branch is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Assistant Camp Director to help lead a fun safe and engaging summer camp experience. This role supports daily operations supervises staff and helps ensure high-quality programming for campers.
Location: Mystic CT
Hours: May-August Monday-Friday
Pay rate: $21.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Camp Director with daily camp operations
- Supervise and coach camp counselors and staff
- Help plan and implement activities and special events
- Ensure a safe inclusive and positive environment for all campers
- Assist with communication with families and staff
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 yrs. of age or older
- Experience working with children in a camp school or recreation setting
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/First Aid certification (YMCA willing to train)
