Position Summary:
Cerity Partners is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Business Development Advisor to drive organic growth within the practice through strategic relationship building community engagement and proactive business development initiatives. This individual will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new client opportunities servicing existing client relationships as needed developing strategic partnerships within the firm and community and representing Cerity Partners in the local market to expand our client base and strengthen our brand presence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive organic growth within assigned market or practice area.
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking community involvement professional associations and strategic partnerships.
Build and maintain strong relationships with centers of influence (COIs) including CPAs attorneys business owners executives and other professional referral sources.
Represent Cerity Partners at industry events conferences networking functions and community organizations to enhance brand visibility and generate qualified leads.
Conduct presentations seminars and educational workshops for prospective clients and target audiences to showcase Cerity Partners value proposition and service offerings.
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through strategic outreach and relationship cultivation.
Collaborate closely with internal advisors and service teams to align business development efforts with firm capabilities and client needs.
Create and implement creative marketing initiatives and thought leadership strategies to differentiate Cerity Partners in the marketplace.
Stay informed on industry trends competitive landscape and market opportunities to identify new growth channels.
Maintain accurate activity tracking pipeline management and reporting in CRM systems.
Provide regular updates to leadership on business development activities lead generation metrics and market insights.
Support advisor teams with client retention initiatives and expansion opportunities within existing relationships.
Perform all functions of a Wealth Advisor in the management of assigned client accounts. This includes but is not limited to review of investment objectives asset allocation and individual investments of client accounts as indicated by firm policy; preparation of material for client or prospective client meetings; participation in investment and strategy meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business finance marketing or related field.
7 years of experience in financial services business development relationship management or sales.
Series 65
Completion of CFP or CFA designation CPA JD CHFC or another approved advanced designation/degree
Skills and Competencies:
Proven track record of generating organic growth through networking referral development and strategic partnerships.
Deep understanding of the high-net-worth client landscape and RIA service models.
Exceptional interpersonal presentation and communication skills with ability to engage diverse audiences.
Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently to drive results.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple relationships and opportunities simultaneously.
Experience building and leveraging professional networks and centers of influence relationships.
Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management tools.
Active involvement in professional organizations and community leadership roles preferred.
Compensation:
$130000 - $160000
