What does a successful Senior QA Engineer Automation do

We are seeking an experiencedSenior QA Engineer Automationto join our team and ensure the quality reliability and performance of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise intest automation and Angular-based applications along with experience inAPI testing DevOps pipelines GitLab Kubernetes ArgoCD and AWS environments.

This role involves close collaboration with developers business analysts product owners and DevOps teams to define test strategies build automation frameworks and ensure high-quality releases across all stages of the software delivery lifecycle. Exposure toAI-based testing tools or intelligent test automationwill be considered an added advantage.

What you will do:

• Design develop and maintaintest strategies test plans and test casesfor enterprise applications.
• Build and enhanceautomation frameworksfor web API and backend testing.
• Perform functional regression integration system and end-to-end testing for.NET and Angularapplications.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI API and database validation.
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Integrate automated test suites intoGitLab CI/CD pipelinesto support continuous testing.
• Validate deployments acrossDEV SIT UAT and Production-likeenvironments.
• Perform testing incontainerized and Kubernetes-based environments ensuring application stability after deployment.
• Support release validation in environments managed throughArgoCDand GitOps practices.
• Validate application behavior and integrations inAWS-hostedenvironments.
• Identify log track and retest defects working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
• Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and help improve overall quality processes.
• Conduct API testing using tools/frameworks such asPostman Rest Assured or similar.
• Perform database testing and data validation using SQL queries.
• Contribute to performance reliability and non-functional testing activities where required.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation automation reports and quality metrics.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across the team.
• Stay updated with the latest trends intest automation DevOps cloud testing and AI-driven QA.

What you will need to have:

• 8 years of IT experiencein software testing with strong expertise intest automation.
• Bachelors or Masters degree inComputer Science Engineering or related field.
• Strong experience in testingweb applications APIs and enterprise systems.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks such asSelenium Playwright Cypress or similar.
• Experience in automation using languages such asC# Java JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Good understanding of applications built on.NET / .NET CoreandAngular.
• Strong experience inAPI testingand validation of REST services.
• Experience withGitGitLab and CI/CD-integrated testing.
• Familiarity withDevOps practicesand continuous testing approaches.
• Hands-on exposure toDockerandKubernetes (k8s)environments.
• Experience validating deployments and releases usingArgoCD.
• Working knowledge ofAWS environmentsand cloud-based application testing.
• Strong knowledge ofSQLand database validation techniques.
• Experience with defect management and test management tools using Jira.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in technical English for documentation and collaboration.
• Familiarity withAgile / Scrummethodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and support high-quality release delivery.

What would be great to have:

• Experience inperformance testingusing tools such asJMeter LoadRunner or k6.
• Exposure tosecurity testingand basic secure testing practices.
• Experience withBDD frameworkssuch as Cucumber / SpecFlow.
• Knowledge ofcontract testing service virtualization or mock frameworks.
• Exposure toAI-based testing tools self-healing automation frameworks or intelligent test generation.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools such asCloudWatch Grafana Splunk ELK or similar.
• Prior experience in enterprise product development financial services or high-availability systems.
• Ability to define QA strategy and drive quality engineering practices across teams.
