$51.05 - $76.60The Nurse Manager provides clinical and administrative leadership for a defined patient care area(s). Responsibilities include accountability for the quality service excellence workplace experience and financial outcomes. This includes fostering a patient centered professional work environment through the implementation of the Theory of Human Caring the nursing process staff development and collaborative team interactions for the enhancement of the quality of patient care.
In addition to House Operations defined patient care areas include:
- Float Pool
- Transitional Care (Admission/Discharge)
- Observation
- Clinical Decision
- Piedmont Joint Camp
- Rapid Response
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing MSN or Masters in related field
- Six years experience in nursing with four years in related healthcare management
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Negotiation and conflict resolution
- Functions effectively under stressful conditions and difficult situations
- Ability to work effectively with the team
- Good computer skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and operational leadership to ensure short and longterm goals are achieved through performance standards staff engagement and alignment with the organizations Mission Vision Core Values and evidencebased practice.
- Ensure appropriate orientation education credentialing and ongoing professional development for all nursing personnel.
- Collaborate across departments to promote effective communication collegial relationships and coordinated care across the continuum.
- Oversee the quality safety and appropriateness of nursing care delivery fostering a culture of patient safety and accountability.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives by monitoring quality safety and outcome metrics and implementing process improvements.
- Promote patientcentered care that respects patient rights preferences privacy and confidentiality.
- Facilitate service recovery conflict resolution and staff engagement through shared governance and collaboration with Service Excellence.
- Partner with the Director of Nursing on budget planning resource allocation and staffing models to ensure costeffective highquality care.
- Ensure staffing utilization aligns with patient needs industry benchmarks and staff credentials education and experience.
- Foster a professional practice environment that supports shared governance continuous learning and staff satisfaction.
- Uphold professional nursing standards patient advocacy and ongoing development of best practices.
- Maintain clinical competency and specialized knowledge of the assigned patient population ensuring care meets populationspecific needs.
