The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior IntegratedPlanning and Scheduling Specialist (Level 4 or 5) to join our team in Herndon VA location. This role will be an essential member of the Mission Systems Operations team and its proprietary programs growing portfolio which provide end-to-end solutions for mission critical systems.
We are seeking a motivated career-driven scheduling professional to lead and support schedulinginitiatives including the development and management of program integrated master schedules. To be successful in this role you will closely collaborate with program technical and financial leaders and team members to enable data-based decisions that drive the best outcomes. You will also develop proposalplans and schedules baseline execution schedules maintain the in-work schedules perform criticalpath analysis and what-if planning and support the delivery of Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) Format 6 deliverables.
A successful candidate willunderstand the importance of leadership and userexperience in all aspects of government program schedules including production programs development programs agile software programs and portfolio management to meet their organizational goals.
You will participate in all aspects of IP&S activities and execute the following to provide actionable value-added products to our customers:
- Program Planning Develop initial planning products (e.g. IMP WBS Master Phasing ScheduleHigh-Level Flows)
- Program Scheduling Develop and Maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Detailed Scheduling & Change Management Develop and maintain lower-level schedules.
- Change Integration Manage baseline and forecast schedule changes
- Project Management Lead key program initiatives to improve program execution
Position Responsibilities:
- In charge of program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
- Serve as the technical lead for IP&S indeveloping integrating and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reporting to the Program Management team
- Work closely with Integrated Product Team Leads IP&S team and program leadership to ensurealignment and integration of the IMS with other key program plans and schedules such as the Integrated MasterPlan (IMP) Master Phasing Plan Critical Path Analysis High-Level Flow (HLF) and detailedschedules below the IMS
- Accountable for schedule compliance assessment of schedule risk identification ofopportunities (including schedule margin planning) and providing robust/actionable performancereporting from the IMS to support and drive program management understanding and action
- Lead integration of supplier and partner plans and schedules into the IMS to ensure the wholeteam is operating to the same rhythm and priorities
- Model driving program execution through quick turn generation of prospective schedule
performance analyses recovery/alternate scenario planning and improved schedulevisibility/visualization - Support reviews and brief senior leadership
- Provide training coaching mentoring and leadership to lower-level employees
- Provide subject matter expertise in the development implementation and training of processes and tools
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Herndon VA location.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI with CI or FS Poly Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- This position requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance and current Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP) (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
- Willingness to upgrade from CIP to FSP (Full Scope Polygraph) or already have a current Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
- 5 years of experience in Program Planning Scheduling and Integration
- 3 years of experience using MS Project as Integrated Scheduling tool
- Experience with managing and analyzing resource loaded schedules
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Experience preparing and presenting to executives senior leadership and external customers
- Strong analytical communication and problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors Degree or higher
- Experience conducting schedule risk analysis such as Monte Carlo
- Experience modeling complex development programs including integration of activities acrossmultiple platforms multiple suppliers and customer resources
- Experience using Open Plan Professional
- Experience using Microsoft Project Server
- Experience using Milestones Professional
- Advanced Experience using Excel
- Experience using Agile Software such as JIRA
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) applying Defense Federal Acquisition RegulationsSupplement (DFARS) requirements
