At the Berg Group the IT Helpdesk will act as an IT support to all our Berg teams. The IT Helpdesk is instrumental to the smooth running of the IT department at The Berg Group. The IT Helpdesk will be the go-to person for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems hardware and software. The IT Helpdesk will work onsite at our Chaska MN office.
Essential Functions
Primary Responsibilities/Duties
- Develop an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of an IT Department.
- Serve as the first contact with employees who need technical assistance via phone or email.
- Act as the Tier 1 Support for our Field and Office teams via phone email and in person.
- Ensure that Tier 1 IT Helpdesk tickets are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain computer systems and act as support if any system goes down.
- Keep inventory of all equipment software and license users.
- Install configure and upgrade PC software.
- Device Management; laptops iPads Mobile Devices.
- New Hire account and device set-up.
- Verification of backups.
- Maintain technical documentation and service catalog on installation of software configuration of hardware and problem troubleshooting.
QualificationsExperience and Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years education from an accredited college or university.
- Previous working experience as an IT Help Desk Technician for 1-3 years.
- Resourceful and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues.
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Windows 10 Windows Server 2016 & 2019.
- Experience and/or knowledge of Hyper-V Veeam Backups Azure Office 365 iOS macOS.
- Possess excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and provide leadership for project coordination.
- Acts with a sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Customer-oriented and patient.
- Bilingual is a plus!
Sedentary Work
- Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 - 15 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying.
- Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
- Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
Compensation Information
- Annualized Salary Range:$56000-$64000
- 401(k) with match medical dental vision & PTO
