Business Planner

Peraton is seeking a Business Planner to join our team of diverse qualified individuals. The Business Planner works at the United States Postal Service (USPS) Central Repair Facility (CRF) in Topeka CRF is a depot repair facility for USPS mail processing delivery and bulk mail systems repairable parts. Examples: repairing printed circuit boards electrical electronic mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies to component level. The CRF provides depot level maintenance for essential automation mechanization retail and bulk mail processing systems used in all mail processing and retail installations.

Our Business Planner programs planning efforts of an organizations activities with regard to customer projects or programs. Determines customer requirements and translates these requirements into organization plans.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Participates in determining objectives and planning of assignment/projects.
• Work reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
• Provides supporting information for quoting projects status workforce level equipment availability and other company capabilities.
• Represents organization as a contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant program or project matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
• Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. Extensive contacts with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts.
• Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal or external representatives concerning specifics operations.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree with 6 years experience or Masters degree with 4 years experience (or equivalent combination of training and professional work experience that provides the required knowledge and skills).
• U.S Citizenship
• Active Public Trust security clearance

• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings

• Demonstrate appropriate People Leadership Characteristics

• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Project)

• Experience preparing and analyzing data and figures

Desired Qualifications:

• Depot level repair experience
• Lean Six Sigma and ISO 9001 experience or training

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
• Physical activity may include reaching walking grasping feeling talking hearing and repetitive motion.
• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures
