The post of Lead Teacher of Creative Art will provide high quality teaching effective use of resources and high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils.

To lead on Creative Arts at Castle EAST which includes Arts Awards Design and Technology and Home Cooking across KS3 (Key Stages 3) and KS4 (Key Stage 4).

As part of our focus on raising standards and embedding excellence we are excited to be looking to appoint a talented colleague to the role of Lead Teacher of Creative Art.

The role will focus on ensuring our ongoing drive for excellent teaching learning and attainment in creative arts but will also form part of a team of specialist colleagues who work across the school on our approach to truly inspiring and cutting-edge teaching.

You will have a keen interest in current pedagogical thinking and be excited at the prospect of working with colleagues across the school to drive the continuous improvement of teaching and learning that impacts on our students learning and progress to mean they achieve outstanding outcomes - beyond expectation.

The length of your previous experience as an excellent classroom practitioner is less important to us than your clear vision on what can be achieved for our pupils your understanding of high standards and your ability to motivate and inspire.

You will:

About Us

Castle EAST School is a specialist provision for pupils with social communication and interaction needs and autism from Year 5 to Year 11 in Bungay Suffolk.

We opened our doors to our pupils in September 2021 and we continue to grow across our provision.

Our school educates and supports children and young people to develop a range of skills and qualities with support from a team of staff who are hugely ambitious for pupils to achieve both their academic and social goals. This age range means that ultimately the school provides a curriculum covering three Key Stages.
