Job Summary
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES & DUTIES:
After orientation to the department the resident begins a series of rotations and activities designed to meet the goals and objectives of Boston Medical Centers (BMC) pharmacy practice residency program.
Acute care (inpatient) rotations include but are not limited to Medicine Hematology/Oncology Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases.
Critical care rotations include the MICU SICU CCU PICU NICU and emergency medicine.
Ambulatory care rotations include the anticoagulation monitoring service outpatient oncology HIV clinic and primary care.
Throughout the year the resident meets objectives in practice management and drug policy development by participating in the MUE program drug policy projects quality management program and various administrative and management projects.
The resident also meets objectives for hospital practice by staffing in both decentralized and central pharmacy positions.
Participates in any on-call programs as part of hospital practice responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Must have PharmD from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
MA Licensed or eligible for licensure.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

3 letters of recommendation
personal on-site interview required
Interest in and aptitude for advanced training in pharmacy Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
Additional language skills are a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively in formal and oral presentations.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interact with staff and patients in a courteous and customer service manner.
Proficient with standard Microsoft programs (i.e. MS Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and web browsers.
Ability and willingness to become proficient in additional healthcare related applications.
Compensation Range:
$14.77- $0.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
