Job Summary:
The Host at Gigis is the first point of contact for our guests setting the tone for their dining experience. This role requires a polished engaging and service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a gracious demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and sincerely as they arrive creating an inviting first impression.
• Manage reservations and walk-in seating using the restaurants reservation system.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth table turnover and optimal seating flow.
• Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed during peak periods.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand entryway and lobby area.
• Assist with answering phones taking reservations and responding to guest inquiries.
• Support the service team as needed to ensure exceptional guest experience.
• Uphold Gurneys service standards and brand values at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous hosting or guest service experience in a high-volume upscale dining environment preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished professional presence.
• Ability to remain calm and gracious under pressure.
• Experience with reservation systems (e.g. OpenTable Resy) a plus.
• Flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• $20.00-$22.00 per hour.
