Lord Library may be for you. The primary programming focus for this librarian position will be youth ages 0-18 including Babytime and tween and teen programming. We Require
Masters degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited school
OR
Currently enrolled in a masters degree program in library science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited school and are within one month of your anticipated graduation date

Job Contributions
Provides exceptional internal and external customer service while applying the districts Great Expectations philosophy
Plan and present library programming and conduct group tours school visits and community outreach
Provide reference and reader advisory services and respond to customer concerns in person on the telephone and online
Facilitate public reading programs and initiatives and compile and report library statistics
Evaluate and cull the collection and serve as a local liaison to the central selectors for library materials
Oversee advisory groups coordinate volunteer assignments and serve in a lead role as appropriate
Prepare book displays create posters bibliographies bookmarks bulletin boards games and promotional displays
Instruct library patrons on the use of PCs the online catalog various databases and the Internet
Serve on standing and/or ad-hoc committees
Working Conditions
Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
Ability to exert up to 20 lbs. occasionally 10 lbs. frequently or negligible amounts constantly and requires walking/standing to a significant degree
