About the company

Remote World is partnering with a UK e-commerce brand selling sustainable homeware a UK-based employer to hire for this role. Their Shopify-plus store turns over Â8M a year and theyre investing in a custom React storefront to improve conversion and brand experience.

The role

Youll build the new storefront components and product-discovery features that millions of shoppers will interact with. Youll work closely with the lead frontend developer and the design team translating mockups into production React components running A/B tests and fixing performance bottlenecks.

What youll do

• Build React components for the new custom storefront
• Integrate with the Shopify Storefront API and third-party services
• Optimise page load speed and Core Web Vitals scores
• Implement A/B test variants using the in-house experimentation framework
• Write component documentation and basic unit tests

What youll need

• Solid React experience youve built something real with it
• Comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript and CSS
• Familiarity with REST or GraphQL API integration
• You care about page performance and accessibility
• Good written communication the team is fully async

Nice to have

• Shopify or headless commerce experience
• Familiarity with Vercel or similar deployment platforms
