Talent Acquisition Apprentice (HR Support) - Job Description

Reporting to: Head of People & Culture
Location: Flexible / Hybrid (with occasional travel to nurseries)
Hours: Fulltime apprenticeship (40 hours per week including offthejob learning)
Salary: Apprenticeship rate (dependent on age and experience) from 8 per hr
Training Provider: Realise (HR Support Apprenticeship)

Role Purpose

The Talent Acquisition Apprentice will support the People & Culture team to attract recruit and onboard great people across Family Adventures Group.

This role is ideal for someone at the start of their HR or recruitment career who is passionate about people brand culture and safeguarding. You will play a key part in developing our employer brand managing recruitment enquiries supporting safer recruitment processes and welcoming new starters into the organisation.

Alongside the role you will complete a HR Support Apprenticeship with Realise gaining handson experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Support

  • Act as a first point of contact for recruitment enquiries across the organisation.

  • Support recruitment activity across multiple nursery sites including:

    • Posting job adverts

    • Managing candidate pipelines

    • Arranging interviews

  • Support hiring managers with recruitment coordination through our ATS (Teamtailor).

Employer Brand & Social Media

  • Help develop and promote Family Adventures Groups employer brand.

  • Create and schedule employerfocused social media content including:

    • Life at posts

    • Vacancy promotions

    • Career stories and staff spotlights

  • Support recruitment campaigns aligned to our values and culture.

Safer Recruitment & Compliance

  • Support onboarding of new starters in line with safer recruitment policies including:

    • Right to Work checks (with training)

    • DBS process coordination

    • Reference tracking and verification

  • Ensure recruitment documentation is complete accurate and auditready.

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle personal data responsibly at all times.

Onboarding & Induction

  • Support the endtoend onboarding journey for new starters.

  • Assist with:

    • Issuing contracts and starter documentation

    • Coordinating induction processes

    • Ensuring mandatory checks and training are completed before start dates

  • Help ensure a positive welcoming experience for all new employees.

HR Support Apprenticeship

  • Complete all learning assignments and assessments required as part of the HR Support apprenticeship with Realise.

  • Apply learning directly to daytoday work with support from the People & Culture team.

  • Attend review meetings with your apprenticeship coach and workplace mentor.

Essential

  • A genuine interest in HR recruitment or peoplefocused careers.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Good organisation and attention to detail.

  • A positive professional and confidential approach.

  • Confidence using IT systems and social media platforms.

Desirable

  • An interest in social media branding or content creation.

  • Experience in a customerfacing admin or peoplebased role (not essential).

  • Interest in childcare education or valuesled organisations.
