An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef to join a luxury boutique hotel in the Lake District as the kitchen enters a new phase under refreshed leadership and clear long-term ambition.
Operating at 3 AA Rosette level with newly launched tasting and à la carte menus the focus is firmly on refining standards strengthening the brigade and progressing towards Michelin recognition.

The Restaurant

Michelin Plate level
Modern British produce-led cooking
Seasonal tasting menu and à la carte offering
Strong focus on local sourcing flavour and presentation
The aim is clear: develop elevate and progress.
The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef you will play a central role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
You will:
Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen and maintaining standards
Drive consistency and quality across all sections during service
Help structure and develop the brigade
Support menu development and refinement
Oversee prep organisation and kitchen discipline
Assist with stock control ordering and kitchen management
Lead service confidently and step up in the Head Chefs absence
This is a hands-on role requiring both strong technical ability and leadership presence.
