Job Summary
General Shop Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide general assistance around the shop including administrative and technical tasks
- Assist with shop loading and work kit preparation
- Monitor job schedules
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Stock raw materials in appropriate quantities
- Clean and maintain equipment as directed
- Make sure workers and technicians have the tools necessary to complete their assigned tasks
- Serve as a liaison between manufacturing teams production control research and development and engineering
- Provide assistance to project managers shop supervisors and the quality inspection team as needed
- Operate equipment such as band saw cut off saw belt sander drill press disc grinder punch press
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers height gages and micrometers
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
