Position Summary:
As aSenior Pipeline NDT Technician you will inspect interstate pipelines for flaws such as corrosion damage and leaks using various NDT and corrosion inspection technologies. You will lead field teams and manage inspection projects with a high degree of independence. Collaboration with engineers inspectors and project managers is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct pipeline inspections using methods such asUltrasonic Testing (UT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Penetrant Testing (PT) Phased Array UT and other NDT techniques toidentifypipeline defects.
Diagnose anddeterminethe root cause of pipeline anomalies.
Prepare andmodifycomplex inspection reports usingMicrosoft Excel withproficiencyinWordandOutlook.
Provide photographic evidence of pipeline conditions and defects.
Document repair activities andvalidatepipeline repairs.
Safelyoperatecompany vehicles andmaintaina clean driving record.
Performadditionalduties asassigned to support inspection projects.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum3yearsof NDT experience.
At least2 yearsof experience with Pipeline IntegrityBellholeExaminations.
Level II MT & UT certificationswith documented training hours.
General knowledge of the following:Phased Array UT (Omniscan) CreaformLaser Scanning and RSTRENG or KAPAanalysis and calculations.
Valid operator qualifications viaIndustrial Training Services (ITS)VeriforceorISNetworld.
Experience withRSTRENG or KAPAanalysis and calculation.
Experience withEddyfiSpyneinspection technology is a plus.
Must consent to drug testing following a conditional offer of employment.
Physical ability to perform occasional lifting bending kneeling walking and standing.
Required vision capabilities: close distance color peripheral depth perception andfocusing.
Frequent driving isrequired.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay range: $25- $27per hour depending on experience
- Per diem while traveling
