Steele Auto Group is searching for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing team. Location: This position will be on-site at our brand-new Volvo dealership located in the Bayers Lake Business Park providing you with the opportunity to work in a modern and state-of-the-art facility!

Annual Wage Range: $42640-$49712 per year

Please note this will be a 12 month term.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager this role offers a unique opportunity to develop specialized accounting skills within the automotive industry. Your ability to manage time efficiently and maintain exceptional accuracy will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately receive and code vendor invoices.
• Coordinate invoice approvals with department managers and address any related queries.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice or statement discrepancies.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding cheques.
• Reconcile vendor statements and related party payables.
• Prepare outgoing cheques/EFTs for approval and submission.

Expectations:

• Process 2300 vendor invoices monthly with high accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in accounting.
• 12 years of accounting experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Excel Word).
• Experience with computerized accounting systems is an asset.
• Familiarity with automated accounts payable software particularly YOOZ is an advantage.
