Job Summary
Lead Events Custodian
The Lead Events Custodian ensures that a day-to-day operations and events are carried out in a timely efficient and effective manner. This position will provide guidance and help direct resources that are needed to make sure that assigned areas are maintained to the highest possible standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:
- Event setup/teardown
- Department liaison to building occupants
- Provide day-to-day leadership to building custodians
- Perform custodian duties as needed
- Perform general maintenance as needed including the use of hand and power tools
- Inspect mechanical space and building support system regularly complete reports and create work orders for maintenance or repair
- Complete work orders for campus community
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- High School diploma or GED is required
- Previous professional cleaning maintenance or grounds experience is preferred
- Upholds andsupports the Christian Catholic Benedictine mission of the University of Mary
- Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities
- Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality inthe Office of Physical Plant and throughout the university in accord with Saint Benedicts admonition that all be received as Christ
- Ability to maintain a valid drivers license
- Ability to communicate clear written and verbal messages
- Ability to present a professional image
- Knowledge of safety equipment usage (e.g. AED fire extinguishers etc.) proper cleaning methods and safety measures essential to the work environment
- Ability to work outdoors in temperature extremes work with high noise levels heights and must have the ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
