Job Summary
This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission-critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster better-informed decisions using trusted data at scale. Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support the delivery enhancement and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.
In this role you will work alongside government partners engineers and other industry teammates to translate operational and strategic requirements into scalable production-ready solutions. You will contribute directly to product planning execution and continuous improvementhelping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently aligned to mission priorities and positioned for sustained success.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility enterprise program at the intersection of data analytics and emerging AI technologies. Primary Responsibilities:
PerformsMLOPs andDevSecOpsengineeringoperations to include Mission-Driven Design Static Code AnalysisCI/CD Automation Security Scanning Model Scanning Audit & Compliance Secure and Post Deployment and Artifact Assurance
Builds and manages the underlying infrastructure platforms and tooling that support application data and AI workloads.
Designs resilient scalable and secure environments thatoptimizeresourceutilizationand performance.
Streamlines developer workflows by implementing automation integration pipelines and platform services that accelerate delivery andmaintainoperational reliability.
Identify prepare track secure and integrate government commercial and open-sourcetoolsand services into theCDAOSystem.
Build and foster relationships with industry and academia
Analyze and review the latest advances in commercial/open-source data analytic and AI technologies
Prepare and integrate commercial and open-source tools into theCDAOSystem withina timelymanner
Assistvendor engineers in preparing and integrating tools to meetIndustryDoW and CDAOstandards.
Integrate government commercial and open-sourcesoftware data and AItools.
Basic Qualifications:
Advanced: Must either have aBachelordegree orhigher from an accredited college or university OR Valid certification of DoD 8140 (CASP or CCNP Security or CCSP)
Must have an activeTop Secretclearance and ability to obtain SCI and CI Poly
12 years of experience as an application developer.
Demonstrated experience with:
Architectingand designing software using MBSE approaches(Requirements specification User Behavior modelsComponentDesign andrequirementstraceability)
Buildingand/or integrating Custom or COTS software products throughMLOPS andDevSecOpsautomated tools within a cloud-based environment
Installing configuring and managing Data and/or AI related COTS enterprise SW platforms in support of capability builders who develop Data AI and SW capabilities
Engineering and operatingdata and AI platform tools(for example:DataBricksPlantir Collibra Tableau) and performingat least 5 out ofthe following functions: Mission-Driven Design Static Code Analysis CI/CD Automation Security Scanning Model Scanning Artifact Assurance Secureand PostDeployment and Audit and Compliance.
Experience with Agile software development methodologiesandworking in a dynamicMLOPS/DevSecOpsteam
Strong problem-solving troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Proficiencyutilizing Atlassian andopen sourcetools such JIRA JenkinsGithuband SonarCube
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience successfully developing configuring and / or managing capabilities within the CDAO ecosystem to meet Government requirements and mission needs
Experienceperformingall ofthe following functions: Mission-Driven Design Static Code Analysis CI/CD Automation Security Scanning Model Scanning Artifact Assurance Secureand PostDeployment and Audit and Compliance.
Experience with configuring and managing GitHub AtlassianDevSecOpstoolsandautomated CI/CD scripting
Hands on experience withDatabricks or related Data& AIEngineering and Operation platforms
Understanding of end-to-enddecision-makingcapabilities that are developed through Data & AI COTS SW platforms such as Databricks Anthropic Palantiretc
ProficiencyutilizingCameo to build architecture and designMBSE-based artifacts andproducts
Degree from an accredited Computer ScienceCyberSecurity Information Technology Software Engineering Information Systems or Computer Engineering degree or a degree in a Mathematics or Engineering field.
