Job Description Summary

Job Summary:

Enterprises in-house legal department is seeking two (2) law student interns to join our team in the summer of 2025 on a part-time or full-time basis (between 20 - 37.5 hours/week) June 1 2026- August 21 2026.

Responsibilities:

Clerking with Enterprises Legal department will provide insight into a variety of matters which in-house attorneys advising a complex tax-exempt nonprofit corporation and its affiliates must consider for their clients. Clerks will work on meaningful legal projects which support Enterprises mission to make home and community places of pride power and belonging as well as platforms for resilience and upward mobility for all.

Clerks will assist the Legal department on a variety of tasks in numerous transactional areas including contracts real property financing and intellectual property as well as compliance matters.

Our clients include various divisions within Enterprise including Solutions Capital and Community Development.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assistwith drafting and reviewing contracts as well as documentationpertaining toloans grants and equity investments made by or to/in Enterprise or its affiliates.

  • Assistteam in preparation for real estate and/or financing closings including review of due diligence such as title reports and surveys and review of documentssubmittedby borrowers and grantees.

  • Assistteam withmaintainingand updating template legal documents (e.g. loan documents checklist requirements).

  • Conduct legal research on a variety of topicsand draft memos on various issues as needed.

  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

Law clerk applicants must attend an accredited law school.Although not helpful courses for applicants to have taken include Contracts PropertyCorporationsand/or Nonprofit Corporations courses.

The base pay for this role is $20 to $24 for undergraduate students and $24-$28 for graduate students depending on level of skills and experience.

The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position. Salaries paid at Enterprise will vary based on factors that may include skills education location experience and you for your interest in joining the Enterprise team in our effort and commitment to serve others.
