Major Duties :1. Working with Unit Trust Managers registrars various counterparties and internal partners to achieve timely settlement of Residual and Unit Trust transactions
2. Working with brokers and various counterparties to ensure receipt of sale funds
3. Identify and resolve all cash and stock exceptions in a timely manner ensuring that exception levels are within agreed threshold levels
4. Investigation and resolution of failing trades
5. Provide team assistance ensuring the completion of all daily Settlement tasks.
6. Carries out complex activities with significant financial client and/or internal business impact
7. May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
8. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
9. May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)
10. More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas
11. Delivers a work product that requires less revision
12. Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions
Knowledge :Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Knowledge of the Asset Servicing environment is required
Analytical and problem solving skills are required
Experience :A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is required.
Salary Range:
$47500 - 71300 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
