Culinary Assistant Server Part Time Evening Eventide Lincoln

Eventide in Lincoln NE is seeking a Culinary Assistant / Server to work 4:30p - 9p. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation.

Tabitha is now Eventide. Learn more here: Culinary Assistant is responsible for assisting in food preparation upholding cleaning and sanitary standards and managing kitchen inventory and supplies.

Essential Functions

1. Assists with serving meals following diet orders and prepares food to order in dining room as requested by Senior/client.

2. Responsible for operating dish machine to ensure dishes and silverware are cleaned and sanitized dried and put away in a timely manner.

3. Ensures accurate and timely documentation related to food production quality and food safety.

4. Ensures food and products are properly acquired stored dated and rotated.

5. Follows recipes according to appropriate safe food handling procedures using food service equipment.

6. Handle trash and sweep and mop galley kitchen floor.

7. Procures food from storage areas freezers and refrigerators.

8. Provides outstanding customer service during guest interactions.

Ideal Candidate

• COMMUNICATION: Must be able to speak read write and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job.
  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 32 - pounds demonstrating strength and agility at Eventides discretion.
• AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 16.
• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: Six months of experience in sanitation work in health care or food preparation facility preferred.
• CREDENTIALS: Prep/Cook Level Food Handler Permit required for Eventide campuses in Lancaster County. Must meet Eventides vaccination requirements.

Compensation

At Eventide we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $15-16.80 per hour for Culinary Assistants based on qualifications experience and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available for select positions paid on employment status and shift worked.
