GIS Specialist I

Job Summary
The GIS Specialist I works under the direction of the GIS Manager and project managers across the company to create a wide variety of maps and geospatial data products. A successful candidate will thrive on constant learning and problem solving in a fast paced consulting environment.
Responsibilities:
Create professional mapsusing ArcGIS Pro for reports and proposals.
Work closely withscientists and engineers to integrate GIS processes into existing workflows.
Compile clean and organize datasets from internal sources public agencies and field collection apps.
- Assist with GPS data processing and map preparation for field crews.
Minimum Experience and Education:
BS or BA in Geography GIS or related field and 0-2 years of direct experience.
Associates degree will be considered with additional experience.
Required Skills:
Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams work on multiple projects concurrently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Highly skilled withEsriGIS software including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Proficient user of Microsoft Office especially Excel.
Working knowledge of coordinate systemscartographic principlesandGIS data management.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with high-accuracy GNSS systems and working knowledge of GNSS principles.
Strong ArcGIS Online knowledge including Experience Builder Field Maps and Arcade scripting.
Experience working with CAD files in a GIS environment including DWG and DGN files.
Prior experience in environmental consulting or geotechnical engineering.
Licensing or Certification requirements:
Valid drivers license and pass MVR as required.
Compensation Range:
