Assistant Teacher / Floater Closing Shift
The Learning Experience Hudson Yards is seeking a dependable Assistant Teacher / Floater to support multiple classrooms during afternoon and closing hours. This role helps ensure a smooth safe and organized end-of-day experience for children teachers and families.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with different age groups while supporting classroom transitions and maintaining strong routines through the end of the school day.
Key Responsibilities
Support classrooms serving infants through preschool-aged children
Assist with afternoon routines transitions and end-of-day classroom coverage
Help maintain a safe clean and organized learning environment
Provide supervision during playground time dismissal and closing procedures
Assist lead teachers with classroom activities and daily routines as needed
Communicate professionally with families during pickup times
Follow all New York State and NYC health safety and licensing requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma required
Prior childcare or preschool experience preferred
Comfortable working with multiple age groups throughout the day
Reliable and able to support closing responsibilities independently
Must meet New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
