Holt Accelerator is growing and seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is a key part of our finance team responsible for managing both outgoing and incoming financial transactions to support our fast-paced innovation-driven organization.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Process invoices including data entry matching coding and approvals
• Maintain vendor records including W-9s and payment details
• Prepare and schedule payments (checks and electronic payments)
• Resolve discrepancies related to invoices contracts or payments
• Review vendor statements and follow up on outstanding invoices
• Ensure compliance with company policies and tax regulations

Accounts Receivable

• Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner
• Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of payments
• Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
• Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances
• Maintain accurate records of all receivable transactions

General Accounting Support

• Ensure accurate matching of revenues and expenses
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Support audits by preparing required documentation
• Maintain accurate financial records and reporting
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes
• Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 25 years of experience in accounts payable accounts receivable or general accounting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP experience preferred)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
