Reports To: Mental Health and Disabilities Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time- 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday 8 hour shifts)

Childrens Friend is seeking an Early Childhood Clinician to join our Mental Health and Disabilities Support Team. In this role you will play a vital part in supporting the emotional well-being of children in our Preschool Head Start and Early Head Start programs while also advocating for services that help children with suspected or identified disabilities thrive.

This is a rewarding opportunity to collaborate with teachers families and community partners to ensure children receive the mental health support they need during the most critical years of development.

What Youll Do:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for children in early childhood programs

• Observing preschool classrooms to evaluate children referred for mental health support

• Providing therapeutic services and mental health interventions to young children

• Supporting teachers with classroom strategies and behavioral supports

• Completing intake and enrollment processes for children participating in programs such as Kids Connect

• Collaborating with external providers including medical educational legal and human services systems

• Providing clinical supervision and guidance to assigned classroom teams

• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation treatment plans and insurance authorizations

• Participating in weekly team meetings peer consultation and supervision

• Helping identify professional development needs and participating in ongoing training and learning opportunities

What You Bring:

• Masters Degree in Social Work Mental Health Counseling or a related field

• License eligible or actively pursuing clinical licensure

• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and preschool classroom environments

• Excellent time management and relationship-building skills

• Ability to work effectively with diverse families staff and community partners

• Valid drivers license reliable transportation and appropriate insurance
