We have an opportunity for an Experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well-established Hospital Medicine Team at Calvert Health in Prince Frederick Maryland. This is a daytime position with a flexible block schedule.

About the Role

• Full-service APP needed at Calvert Health Medical Center
• Calvert Health in Prince Frederick Maryland is a non-profit community-owned hospital. There are over 200 active and consulting physicians on staff representing over 40 medical specialties.
• Average 15 patients/day
• Open ICU co-managed by Intensivists
• Staffing Model: 7 providers; 4 physicians/4 APPs
• Day: 2 3 Physicians and 3 APPs
• Night: 1 physicians and 1 Critical Care APPs
• EMR: Meditech
• Beds: 78
• BE/BC in internal or family medicine
• Responsibilities include unit-based rounding swing shift covers admissions and new consults during day with dedicated nocturnists.

Job Description

Our hospitalist team provides inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting including admitting patients performing physical exams ordering tests diagnosing performing hospital rounds and planning for discharge.

• Follow all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records.
• Contribute to the achievement of department goals and adhere to policies procedures and quality and safety standards.
• Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed.

Requirements

• 1 years acute inpatient experience as an advanced practice provider
• Strong inpatient skill set
• Quality-focused team player
• Excellent organizational time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
• Active license American Heart Association CPR Certification DEA License state Controlled Substance Registration BLS and ACLS
• Salary Range: $120k - $140k
