Application Architect

Job Description:

• Defining and driving the architectural vision for the clients applicationensuring consistency across backend frontend and data layers
• Leading architecture governance by validating designs guiding technology choices and managing technical debt and modernization strategies
• Overseeing evolutive maintenance and refactoring initiatives ensuring platform stability performance and maintainability
• Providing architectural advisory for clients application (cloud-native modular API-first) while ensuring continuity with the legacy system
• Acting as the lead architectural authority collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to governance reviews and strategic decisions
• Ensuring security- and privacy-by-design principles and compliance with OIDC/SAML and GDPR/EUDPR requirements
• Supporting design and code reviews technical validations and migration activities
• Contributing to architecture documentation decision-making (ADR) and Go/No-Go preparation

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position

• Bachelors degree with 16 years or Masters degree with 12 years of experience including 6 years in architecture roles
• Strong expertise in Java (17) and Spring Boot with experience in monolithic and modular architectures
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Java-based backend systems
• Solid knowledge of API design (REST/OpenAPI) relational databases (MySQL) and performance and scalability optimization
• Proven experience with large-scale high-concurrency public-facing applications and evolutive maintenance of complex systems
• Good understanding of cloud-native architectures Kubernetes/containerization and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of secure application design authentication/authorization (OIDC/SAML) and data lifecycle and audit practices
• Certifications in Cloud/DevOps are a plus
