Job Summary
Intro/Program Description:The Manhattan Outreach Consortium provides outreach and housing placement services to adults whoare Uptown team serves the UWS and UES of Manhattan and collaborateswith various community partners and healthcare agencies throughout Manhattan. The catchment area includes W. 59th W. 110thStreet & E. 59th E. 96thStreet river to river.
Purpose of Position:Provide direct supervision to Housing Outreach Specialists thatprovidecase management servicestosingle adults experiencing street homelessness in the Uptown Goddard catchment area. Coordinate and support the activities of the teams day-to-day part ofaninterdisciplinary team.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:00pm)
Salary Range:$66300-$72000
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salaryoffer will be basedonthe candidates number of years experience in the exact orcomparableposition and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
Qualifications
Roles Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Staff Supervision-50%
Direct oversight of caseload data collection funderreportingand other administrative duties
Provide clinical supervision toHousing Outreach Specialists; conduct weekly supervision to review client status and goals for assignedstaff
Advisestaff re: clinical assessment of clients and need for hospitalization coordinate 9.58 as needed
Support outreach team in the performance of client intake clinical assessment service planning advocacyreferraland escort services toassistin housing placement
Carry a small caseload of clients
Rotating on-Call support to the teamon eveningsovernightsand weekends
Collaborate within and across agencies 25%
Interface with various community agenciesfundersand stakeholders relevant to our client population
Attend staff meetings case conferences trainingprogramsand supervision meetings;participatein program evaluation and improvement
Oversight of programs contractual obligations
Outreach services-25%
Participate in outreach trips toidentifyand communicate with homeless clients
Assist Outreach staff in canvassing Joint Operations DHS Clean-ups as needed
Participate in 4 overnight counts each year

Qualifications/Educational Requirements
LMSW orMasters in Social WorkPreferred with1 yearsupervisory experience orBachelors degree in human servicesfieldwith3years of supervisory experience
Prior clinical experience with homelessness mental health and/or substance abuse
Valid drivers license and a driving record that meets the agencys auto insurance guidelines (including no suspensions within the last 3 years)
SkillsKnowledgeand Abilities
Ability to multi-task/work in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficiencyin Spanish and English preferred
Understanding ofhomelessnesshousing first andharm reduction modelspreferred
