Position: Administrative Assistant
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Acts as liaison between patients providers and internal departments to ensure effective communication and workflow
- Coordinates patient appointments including recurring monthly visits and follow-up scheduling
- Manages patient-related documentation including charts lab results and treatment records ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Assists with patient communication including responding to messages scheduling needs and general inquiries via phone and internal systems
- Supports daily patient flow through check-in and check-out processes
- Maintains departmental records and ensures adherence to organizational policies and procedures
- Ensures proper maintenance of office and exam room equipment
- Provides excellent customer service to patients staff and external stakeholders in alignment with service standards
- Adheres to all confidentiality policies and regulatory requirements
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Associates degree or business school training preferred
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle a high volume of patient interactions
- Ability to manage difficult or sensitive situations with professionalism and composure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
- Experience with administrative functions such as scheduling documentation and coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology

Compensation Range:
$18.78- $27.90This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
