Construction Superintendent - Renovation Project Experience
Low Rise Concrete and Wood-frame Residential and One level commercial one level parkade.
Our client is looking for the needle in a haystack Superintendent with a strong sense of leadership within the role. You will be primarily focused on the day-to-day management of a technically detailed and design-sensitive renovation project.
The successful candidate will oversee all on-site activities coordinate with trades and consultants and ensure that safety quality and schedule objectives are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site construction activities for a complex renovation project.
- Coordinate subcontractors suppliers inspectors and consultants in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Enforce safety protocols and environmental standards in accordance with WorkSafeBC and site-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation and progress reporting using Pro-core.
- Facilitate weekly look ahead schedules and ensure alignment with overall project timelines.
- Conduct regular site coordination meetings promptly addressing issues as they arise.
- Communicate professionally with clients consultants and local stakeholders.
- Foster a respectful inclusive site culture and provide mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent or similar role preferably on renovation tenant improvement or architectural upgrade projects.
- This is a great opportunity for a junior Superintendent or person with related experience to step into a multi-faceted project.
- Experience coordinating structural mechanical and electrical scopes within occupied or operational buildings is an asset.
- Strong understanding of renovation-specific challenges including demolition phasing and working in sensitive or high-traffic environments.
