Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our team. This role plays a key part in a major strategic initiative focused on improving actuarial processes enhancing modeling capabilities and supporting data-driven decision-making.

You will work closely with senior actuaries to deliver high-quality analysis financial projections and risk assessments while helping document and transition current processes to a more modern scalable future state.

This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to communicate complex insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain actuarial models for financial projections and risk analysis
  • Perform loss reserving analysis including loss development and reserve adequacy
  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis on key assumptions
  • Support contribution rate analysis and actuarial justifications
  • Prepare requirements documents capturing reports dashboards and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Translate complex actuarial results into clear actionable insights
  • Maintain actuarial datasets assumptions and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance legal and leadership
  • Participate in peer reviews to ensure quality and consistency


Requirements

Experience:
  • 10 years of actuarial experience in P&C liability or related fields with at least 4 years in Actuarials
  • Experience in reserving pricing or actuarial modeling preferred
  • Experience in regulated or government environments is an asset
  • Exposure to long-tail or medical liability lines is a strong plus
  • Experience with actuarial tools (e.g. ResQ Arius) preferred
  • Knowledge of R Python or SAS is an asset
  • Familiarity with Power BI/Tableau and SQL is beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
